Mumbai Indians Playing 11 vs LSG- IPL 2025, Match 45

High-flying Mumbai Indians (MI) will be hosting Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for the 45th game of IPL 2025. The match is scheduled to be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday (April 27).

MI have moved into the top four after winning their last four games. They managed to win just one of their first five games before winning four in a row. In their last game, MI thrashed Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets.

On a good batting pitch, MI’s bowlers came up with a brilliant effort to restrict SRH to 143/8. With the bat, the five-time champions chased down the total inside 16 overs with Rohit Sharma scoring 70 runs.

With five wins from nine games, Mumbai Indians are currently at the third spot in the points table. They are the team in form at the moment and will be fancying their chances of beating LSG. With MI all set for the match, we are taking a look at the Mumbai Indians’ Playing 11.

Mumbai Indians Playing 11 vs LSG- IPL 2025, Match 45:

Openers: Ryan Rickelton (wk), Rohit Sharma

Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma are set to be the openers in the Mumbai Indians’ Playing 11 for the upcoming match. After struggling early in the season, Rohit has roared back to form by scoring fifties in his last two games. After scoring an unbeaten 76 against Chennai Super Kings, the India superstar scored 70 in the last game against SRH.

Rickelton, on the other hand, has failed to capitalise on the starts in recent games. He has not scored a fifty in his last six games and will be keen to score big in the upcoming game.

Middle-order: Will Jacks, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya (c), Naman Dhir, Mitchell Santner

Will Jacks got the start in the last game but could not convert it into a big score. The England star was out for 22 runs but is expected to retain his spot in the Mumbai Indians’ Playing 11. Suryakumar Yadav looked in good touch once again, scoring an unbeaten 40 off just 19 balls in the last game against SRH.

Tilak Varma faced just two balls and remained unbeaten on 2 in the last game. The southpaw has been in terrific form in recent games and will be looking to deliver with the bat if he gets the chance.

Captain Hardik Pandya, Naman Dhir, and Mitchell Santner did not get the chance to bat in the last game. With the ball, Pandya picked up 1 wicket for 31 runs in 3 overs while Santner bowled an economical spell, conceding only 19 runs in 4 overs.

Bowlers: Deepak Chahar, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah

The Mumbai Indians Playing 11 is set to have three pacers, and Vignesh Puthur could be used as an Impact Player. Deepak Chahar and Trent Boult had good outings in the last game. Chahar picked up 2 wickets while conceding only 12 runs in 4 overs, while Boult claimed 4 wickets for 26 runs.

Bumrah will be eyeing a better show in the upcoming match after conceding 39 runs in 4 overs in the last game. On the other hand, Puthur bowled just one over and gave away 15 runs.
